Our first baby never chewed his cot. In fact, three years later and it still looks brand new! His younger brother however was a different story.. he started attacking it from a young age and we very quickly had paint peeling in sections and the beginnings of indents in the timber. I decided to make some padded rail protectors for the cot to stop the damage from getting any worse, and it worked perfectly!
The protectors come with your choice of printed fabric, and plain colour for the underside (not overly visible). There is a single layer of cotton padding sewn into each protector. Each protector is secured over the cot rail with snaps that secure in the gaps between the cot bars. These snaps are unable to be separated by babies/infants, meaning that they can't remove the protector while in the cot - which keeps both the cot rails safe from damage, and your child safe from loose items in the cot.
If i don't already have the measurements for your cot and don't have access to one in our local baby store to assess myself, I may need you to take 5-6 quick measurements of your cot rails to ensure the protector/s fit perfectly. I will let you know via email if this is required.

For those who have solid cot sides like the Mocka Aspiring (shown in pictures with Koala protectors below) or Incy Interiors Teeny / similar:
Previously this would have meant that our protectors couldn’t secure to the solid cot sides as there are no bars to snap the protector closed between. However there is now a NEW option to overcome this problem! Introducing stick & sew Velcro: for solid timber cot rail sides you can opt for the stick & sew Velcro system where I sew in a strip of loop Velcro to the relevant protector and provide you with a corresponding peel-and-stick strip of hook Velcro to apply to the cot. There is an extra charge of $20 for this to cover the additional Velcro that has to be purchased.
